§ Mr. ButlerSix British subjects are still under detention by the Japanese authorities, nine having been released and one, I regret to state, having died under circumstances which are being investigated. His Majesty's Ambassador at Tokyo has had a number of discussions with the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs and it is hoped that proceedings in connection with these cases will be expedited.
