§ Mr. Grovesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that there was recently a meeting of doctors convened by the medical officers of health for Scotland in connection with the local air-raid precautions first-aid scheme; that the procedure outlined involves the frequent use of the telephone; that complaint was made by several doctors about the telephone service being unsatisfactory and that many telephone kiosks at important points are not properly functioning; and whether he will cause an investigation to be made into the matter?
§ Mr. E. BrownI am not aware of any meeting convened by the medical officers of health for Scotland at which the matters in question were discussed. If, however, my hon. Friend will send me particulars of the meeting and details of the complaint to which he refers, I shall be pleased to make inquiries in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Postmaster-General.
