§ Captain CrookshankYes, Sir. An Order, which took effect from the 1st July last, has been made by the Board of Trade prohibiting the export without licence of specified categories of valuables, including jewellery. As was announced in the Press at the time of the making of the Order, no such licences are granted to private individuals travelling overseas, and no traveller is allowed to take with him any jewellery, except single articles of relatively small intrinsic value.
