§ Mr. Richardsasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the bombing of the industrial area of South Wales, he has considered the advisability of having the children evacuated to some safer part of the country?
Mr. M. MacDonaldThe existing evacuation areas were selected from the standpoint of removing children from the largest and most crowded cities where the results of air attack were likely to be most serious, and that selection is under constant review. I do not think, however, that there is sufficient reason at present for extending the evacuation 1411W areas, especially bearing in mind that the needs of those areas already make very heavy demands on the accommodation available in the reception areas.
