WomersleyThe War Service Grants Advisory Committee is assisted in determining the merits of claims by a staff of officers of the Ministry none of whom has held a post under the Assistance Board. The duties of officers of the Assistance Board are limited to ascertaining the facts on which claims are based. It would not, I fear, be consistent with the limits of a Parliamentary answer to give a nominal list and other details asked for in respect of each of the large staff so employed, but I may say that the staff (established and temporary) above the rank of clerical officer is 177.
