§ Mr. R. Morganasked the Prime Minister whether, in the case of any further developments in the war affecting the Far East, he will give an assurance that the Government of the United States will be consulted as to whether the adoption of a mutually agreed upon policy is possible?
§ Mr. ButlerAs my hon. Friend is no doubt aware, it is the practice of His Majesty's Government to keep the United States Government informed on all matters affecting our common interests in the Far East. The question of future American policy in that region is, however, one of which the United States Government must naturally be the sole arbiters.
