§ Mr. Harveyasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education whether, in view of the uncertainty of some local education authorities as to the nature and extent of the conditions for the protection of students which the Board has in view, and the consequent delay in resuming the work of adult education in the evenings, he will give fuller details of the conditions which the Board desire to be fulfilled?
Mr. LindsayThe question what constitutes adequate protection for students is one for the local education authority to consider in consultation with the local air-raid precautions authority, and is not a matter for the Board.
