HC Deb 20 September 1939 vol 351 c959W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, in view of the difficulty of Members of this House keeping themselves informed as to the contents of the many Orders which will be made by Ministers under the various war-time Acts of Parliament if the normal procedure is followed by which, when the Orders are laid before Parliament, copies of such Orders will only be available in the book kept for that purpose in the Library, whether he will consider arranging either for the circulation of copies of such Orders to Members or the issue of copies through the Vote Office or the printing of the text of the Orders in the Official Report?

Captain Crookshank

Substantial numbers of copies of all published Statutory Rules and Orders of the kind to which my hon. Friend refers are made available in the Vote Office in printed form at the earliest possible moment, and I hope this will meet what he has in mind.
