Smithasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been directed to paragraph 32 of the Second Report from the Committee of Public Accounts; and, in particular, to the statement that no provision is made for the payment of a bonus as an incentive to economy, that special care is called for the supervision of costs, 1584W agency services, etc., and attention drawn to the absence of financial risk, and the provision of capital assets out of public funds; and what action is to be taken to deal with the matter?
