§ Major TryonAs indicated in the answer which I gave on the 9th of October to a question on the same subject by the hon. Member for the Central Division of Kingston-upon-Hull (Mr. Windsor), letters from troops in a theatre of war are exempt from postage up to 2 oz. in weight, but the concession of free postage does not extend to other troops abroad. Suitable instructions have already been issued to post offices in this country, and if the hon. Member will furnish me with particulars of any case in which a surcharge has been wrongly imposed, I will have inquiry made.
