Baillieasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that feeding-stuffs charged to poultry-keepers are all ex-mill, and that in consequence poultry-keepers have to pay 25s. a ton for transport from Liverpool to Kent; and whether, in view of the increase of cost, he proposes to permit some elasticity in the prices charged for poultry products?
§ Sir R. Dorman-SmithI am not aware of the transport charges to which my hon. Friend refers, but if he will send me particulars of any transactions involving such charges, I shall be happy to investigate the matter in conjunction with my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
