§ Mr. ElliotI regret that the information desired by the hon. Member is not available. The procedure to be adopted by local authorities for conducting their business under war conditions is a matter primarily for the authorities themselves to determine and in view of the present pressure of urgent work upon them I am unwilling to ask them for a special return on this subject.
