§ Mr. Caryasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that so many commissioned ranks who have either joined or re-joined the British military forces during the last 12 months are in possession of newly-acquired blue patrol dress, he will permit officers to 2099W wear it in the evenings at home stations, as was the custom throughout the Great War?
Mr. Hore-BelisliaSince it is desired to relieve officers of all avoidable personal expenses, I do not think it would be desirable to adopt my hon. Friend's suggestion, which would be bound to cause embarrassment to officers not in possession of the blue patrol dress.
