HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1986W
Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered the growing demands for pensions for spinsters at an earlier age; and whether he will make a statement of the Government's policy in the light of the demand for general pensions reform?

Captain Crookshank:

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by the Prime Minister on the 13th September to the hon. Members for Camlachie (Mr. Stephen) and Stoke (Mr. E. Smith) and to my own answer to the hon. Member for West Leeds (Mr. V. Adams) yesterday.
