asked the Minister of Labour how many able-bodied ex-servicemen were unemployed during the years 1932, I933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937 and 1938?

The table below shows for one date in each year from 1936 to 1938 the number of men registered as unemployed in Great Britain who had served with His Majesty's Forces in the war of 1914– 18. Corresponding figures are not available for any date in the years 1932–35.

The figures include approximately 33,000 disabled ex-servicemen in receipt of disability pensions in April, 1936, and April, 1937, and 31,000 in May, 1938.
