Whiteasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been drawn to the increased delays in passing importation of machine tools through the Customs House, and particularly, whether he is aware that the delays have increased from 24 hours to three or four days; and whether he will take whatever steps are necessary to amend the regulations in those cases where the tools are required for national purposes?
