HC Deb 21 November 1939 vol 353 c1057W
Mr. Cape

asked the Home Secretary (1) when he intends to introduce legislation to remedy the inadequate payments now in operation for injured workpeople;

(2) whether he has considered the resolutions received from the Trades Union General Council and the Mineworkers' Federation in regard to a new Workmen's Compensation Act; and whether he can state the Government's policy?

Sir J. Anderson

This matter is still under consideration, and I am afraid I am not yet in a position to make any further statement.
