HC Deb 21 November 1939 vol 353 c1067W
Sir F. Sanderson

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware that many garages are unable to secure their guaranteed supplies of petrol, and that it is not uncommon for motorists to call at three or four garages before they are able to get their supply of petrol; and will he make provision for a better distribution of petrol supplied to the garages?

Mr. Lloyd

I am informed that the distribution of petrol is proceeding satisfactorily, but if my hon. Friend will let me have particulars of any instances of the kind to which he refers, I will make further inquiries.
