HC Deb 14 November 1939 vol 353 c576W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Secretary for Mines whether his attention has been drawn to the refusal of the coalowners in the districts of South Wales and Cumberland to provide proper containers for the protection of gas masks in mines; and whether he will consult with these coal-owners with a view to their conforming to the national practice?

Mr. Lloyd

My attention was called last week to alleged delay in dealing with this matter in two or three of the coalfields, and I am making inquiries.
