HC Deb 14 November 1939 vol 353 c558W
Mr. J. Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the fact that some members of the Army are stationed at such distances from their homes as to involve fares amounting to over £2 to enable them to visit their homes when on leave; and whether he will consider the granting of free travelling warrants in such cases?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to-day to the hon. Members for Rotherham (Mr. Dobbie) and Rothwell (Mr. Lunn).
