asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to stocks of guns capable of being used for anti-aircraft purposes that are completed, and in the course of completion, in factories, and for which no orders for disposal have yet been made; and whether he will direct that these guns be made available for use of anti-aircraft units?

The guns in question belong to the Air Ministry and are

from Rumania to Italy during the six months ended July. The Italian statistics relate to the quantity of Rumanian oil released for consumption in Italy or in Italian ships irrespective of the date of import and do not cover any period later than that covered by these statistics.

being held ready to be mounted in aircraft as these come out of manufacture. I am, however, in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air on the suggestion made.
