§ Captain WallaceApart from 19 on the Southern Railway, there are now 17 longdistance trains running on other lines with lighting which enables passengers to read. Other trains are being brought into service as rapidly as possible.

§ Captain WallaceDuring the past few days restaurant or buffet car facilities have been introduced on 18 additional trains. The need for further facilities of this nature is being carefully watched by the railway companies and they will be provided in case of necessity so far as conditions permit.
