HC Deb 07 November 1939 vol 353 c67W
Mr. Groves

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the serious hardships experienced by dentists at the present time; and whether he will consider devising a scheme whereby the services of civilian dental practitioners could be utilised by the Army Dental Corps?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

The Army Dental Corps has already absorbed a number of civilian dental surgeons who have been appointed to commissions since the outbreak of war, and many more will be required as expansion proceeds.

The arrangements for the supply of dentists both for the Services and for civilian requirements are in the hands of the Central Dental War Committee, which includes representatives of the profession.
