AndersonThe arrangements for calling up A.R.P. personnel not on duty at the time a warning is given depend on local circumstances and organisation and also vary according to the particular service concerned, and it would not necessarily be the case that all workers not on shift would have to report for duty immediately. As regards the last part of the question all A.R.P. personnel with outdoor duties are provided with steel helmets.
