§ Mr. Glenvil Hallasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in cases where the wife of a serving soldier joins the Auxiliary Territorial Service, marriage allowance ceases to be payable irrespective of any civil obligation the couple may have, such as purchasing a house; and whether the soldier has a right to apply to the Military Service (Special Allowances) Advisory Committee for a supplementary allowance in such cases?
