§ Mr. R. Gibsonasked the Minister of Labour whether he will state the number of appeals against the stopping of winter allowances received by appeal tribunals in Scotland this year; and the number that were refused a hearing?
§ Mr. E. BrownDuring the months of March and April a total number of 1,375 appeals against determinations of need were lodged in Scotland and in 45 of these cases leave to appeal was refused. I regret that it is not possible to distinguish in these figures appeals against withdrawals of Winter Allowances.
