§ Mr. ElliotThe attention of local authorities has been directed in paragraph 54 of the Ministry of Health's Memorandum Ev. 4, supplemented by paragraphs 13 and 14 of the Board of Education's Circular 1469, of which I am sending the hon. Member copies, to the importance of preventive measures against the risk of the epidemic spread of infectious diseases. Arrangements have also been made to supplement the existing public health laboratory services by the establishment of additional laboratories in localities where it is thought that they will be most needed.
