§ Mr. Manderasked the Lord Privy Seal whether he is now able to give particulars of the measures concerning which he has entered into consultation with the local authorities which would be brought into operation on the outbreak of war after passage through Parliament; and whether these include those measures concerning 1211W which sealed orders were sent out to local authorities during the crisis in September?
§ Sir J. AndersonI cannot call to mind any consultations answering the description given in the first part of the question. The only consultations I have had with local authorities regarding measures to be taken on the outbreak of war have been concerned with the scheme of regional organisation of civil defence initiated by me, of which the House has already had particulars.
