HC Deb 04 May 1939 vol 346 cc2083-4W
Captain Plugge

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in view of the urgent need for pressing ahead with air-raid precautions work, he will arrange for local authorities to give priority to such work in preference to road construction and house-building, at any rate for the next three or six months?

Sir J. Anderson

Captain Plugge

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether he will give the names of any local authorities in Kent who have not yet appointed air-raid precautions controllers?

Sir J. Anderson

Both the local authorities in Kent responsible for the preparation of general air-raid precautions schemes have appointed A.R.P. Controllers.
