Mr. Benjamin Smith

asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) whether any observations have been received from the Dominion Governments on the report of the Imperial Shipping Committee on British Shipping in the Orient; and whether the question of common action is under consideration;

(2) whether he has considered the report of the Imperial Shipping Committee on British Shipping in the Orient; and whether he will make a statement?

The report of the Imperial Shipping Committee on British Shipping in the Orient is under consideration. The question of consulting with the Governments of other parts of the British Commonwealth interested is being borne in mind.
