§ Mr. ColvilleI understand that the county council of Ross-shire propose to execute a road scheme at Flesherin in Lewis with the assistance of grants from the Department of Agriculture and the Ministry of Transport and that they are at present preparing plans and specifications for the approval of those Departments. I regret that at this stage I am not in a position to indicate the date when work will be commenced.

§ Mr. ColvilleThe question of the steps to be taken for the protection of the road referred to is a matter, in the first instance, for the consideration of the county council of Ross and Cromarty who, I understand, have the position under close observation.
