HC Deb 10 March 1939 vol 344 c2515W
Mr. W. R. Duckworth

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many countries, and which, are actually adopting at the present time a system of barter in trade?

Mr. R. S. Hudson

Many countries are parties to arrangements providing for transactions of a barter or compensation character, but I regret it would not be possible without very extensive research to supply the information asked for by my hon. Friend.
