The value of orders placed by the Admiralty, the War Office and the Air Ministry, and by His Majesty's Office of Works on behalf of the War Office for 1496W new factories, for the financial years 1936, 1937 and 1938 is as follows:

It would not be possible, without an undue amount of labour, to give the value of orders placed specifically in connection with the rearmament programme.
