§ Colonel LlewellinNo increase in the British naval forces in the Mediterranean was in contemplation prior to the Anglo-Italian Agreement and none has, therefore, been abandoned subsequent to it. No projected new defence works for which the Admiralty is responsible at Malta, Port Said, or in the Red Sea have been suspended following the agreement.
