§ Mr. T. Smithasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that no meeting of the Stradishall Parish Council, Suffolk, West, has been held since April, 1938; that the chairman of this council has been approached and has not caused a meeting to be held; that no accounts of the Hoult Charity have been laid before the parish meeting for at least five years; and what action he proposes to take in the matter?
§ Mr. ElliotMy attention has not previously been called to these matters. Special provisions as to the calling of meetings of parish councils are set out in Part IV of the Third Schedule to the Local Government Act, 1933, and I have no authority to intervene. As regards the accounts of the Hoult Charity, the matter is one for the Charity Commissioners, and I understand that they are writing to the hon. Member.
