§ Mr. ElliotThe approximate numbers of houses in the Weardale rural, the Barnard Castle rural, and the Barnard Castle urban districts respectively are 3,450, 5,440 and 1,190. Under present plans the numbers of persons to be received in these districts in an emergency under the Government Evacuation Scheme are 1,800, 2,800 and 700 respectively.
