§ Mr. Hore-BelishaThe War Office has maintained close touch with the Board of Education in this matter, and the Board have had very satisfactory discussions with the bodies concerned with adult education. As a result, steps are being taken to establish regional organisations which will arrange, with the assistance of selected inspectors of the Board, for the provision of lectures and other facilities of an educational character. It is hoped that these arrangements will be in operation after the end of the summer.
In addition, inquiry is being made as to opportunities for attending evening classes and as to library facilities which may exist in the vicinity of depots and training camps, and these will be brought to the notice of militiamen.
