BrownThe total number of persons, aged 21 years and over, insured under the Unemployment Insurance Acts in the United Kingdom at July, 1938 (the latest date for which statistics are at present available), was approximately 12,000,000. I regret that statistics are not available showing the number of these workers whose conditions of employment are governed by wages agreements or awards.
