Duckworthasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the large expenditure in connection with Civil Defence, he can state whether it has now been possible to arrange for economies to be effected by postponing some of the major road works referred to in the Ministry of Transport estimates, costing in the aggregate£110,000,000, and, if so, whether he can state which particular schemes it is proposed to postpone for this purpose?
