HC Deb 04 July 1939 vol 349 c1131W
Mr. Keeling

asked the Secretary of State for War what differences exist between the status, training, and equipment of the first and second or any other battalions of a Territorial infantry regiment?

Sir V. Warrender

As soon as a duplicate battalion has recruited and organised itself sufficiently to assume a separate identity, its status becomes in every respect equal to that of the original unit, and its training and equipment will ultimately be the same.
