HC Deb 04 July 1939 vol 349 cc1140-1W
Mr. Hopkin

asked the right hon. and gallant Member for Rye, as representing the Forestry Commissioners, whether he will give the area of land now held by the Forestry Commissioners in the county of Carmarthen, the number of small holdings attached to the forests, and the number of men employed thereon?

Colonel Ropner

I have been asked to reply. The Forestry Commissioners now hold 22,722 acres of land in the county of Carmarthen on which 36 forest workers' holdings have been created. The number of persons employed on the land during the last 12 months varied from 74 to 169.
