§ Mr. ElliotI have been asked to reply. Mrs. Jenkin has been awarded an old age pension and the necessary form for obtaining her pension order book was issued to her on the 14th February. As a notification has been received from the local authority that they propose to claim against the arrears of pension in respect of advances of out-door relief made by them pending the settlement of the claim for pension, the arrears of pension from 12th January have not yet been paid over. When the claim of the local authority has been settled, the balance, if any, of the arrears will be paid to Mrs. Jenkin.
