HC Deb 14 February 1939 vol 343 c1570W
Mr. W. R. Duckworth

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve divisions or detachments have been formed or are in process of formation in Lancashire; and whether he will give details?

Mr. Shakespeare

There is one division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in Lancashire; this is the division situated at Liverpool. No other units of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve are in process of formation in Lancashire.

Mr. Temple Morris

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the present shortage of personnel in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, he will consider the establishment of a Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Division at Cardiff?

Mr. Shakespeare

Consideration is being given to the establishment of a Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Division at Cardiff.
