§ Captain WallaceThe estimated expenditure on Navy, Army (including Ordnance Factories) and Air Votes for the year 1938 is £368,559,000, excluding any supplementary estimates still to be presented. For the figures of actual expenditure in respect of earlier years I would refer the hon. Member to the tables published in the annual Statistical Abstracts for the United Kingdom, Section V, "National Finance," under the heading "National Revenue, Expenditure, etc." He will find the figures for the years in question conveniently summarised on page 134 of Command Paper No. 4233 (1933) and page 174 of Command Paper No. 5903 (1939).
