HC Deb 02 February 1939 vol 343 cc388-9W
Mr. Edwards

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in order to attract tourists, he will consider providing better facilities for the reception of visitors to this country and more attractive accommodation for customs formalities?

Captain Wallace

The provision of accommodation for the examination of the baggage of visitors to this country is a matter for the appropriate harbour authority or railway company. If the hon. Member has any particular case in mind perhaps he will communicate with me.
