§ Mr. Dayasked the Lord Privy Seal whether his attention has been called to the prosecution of a person named Herbert Ward or Jones at the Chesterfield Police Court on Monday, 30th January, for the mutilation of a gas mask or respirator; and in view of the fact that an official handbook has been published stating that the Government were providing respirators free to the civilian population, will he make it plain to all local and police authorities that all respirators so issued are the property of the public?
§ Sir J. AndersonI would refer the hon. Member to the statement which I made yesterday in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Tamworth (Sir J. Mellor).
