HC Deb 14 December 1939 vol 355 c1270W
Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware of the widespread dissatisfaction among Scottish sheep farmers regarding the delay in fixing the price to be paid for wool; and whether, in order to enable farmers to realise their present wool-clip and so relieve financial embarrassment, he will announce a price of 1s. per pound for blackface wool without delay?

Colonel Llewellin

The Order establishing the prices for wools still owned by farmers will be issued to-morrow.

Lieut.-Colonel Heneage

asked the Minister of Supply whether he can give any information as to when the price of English wool is to be fixed?

Colonel Llewellin

The Order establishing the prices for wools still owned by farmers will be issued to-morrow.
