§ Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the fact that a Government allowance of 5s. for each adult and 3s. for each child was being paid to the owner of a house in Shotley for two evacuee mothers and their young children although the roof was leaking, the house uninhabitable, and the allowance paid by the Government several times the value of the rent of the cottage even if it had been in good repair; and what steps he is taking to prevent such cases in future?
