HC Deb 12 December 1939 vol 355 c1042W
Mr. R. J. Taylor

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he is prepared to give direct representation of the trade union movement on the local food committees?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The membership of food control committees, as laid down in Article 2 of the Food Control Committees (Constitution) Order, 1939, is intended to provide for the representation of all classes of persons within the area of the committee. My right hon. Friend is now considering the working of the system in the light of experience, including the point to which the hon. Member refers.
