§ Mr. E. BrownI am aware that there is an unsatisfied demand for certain types of workers in the catering trades. The Employment Exchanges bring the vacancies to the notice of all suitable available persons. Training is provided for men and women who lack the necessary experience. As regards the latter part of the question, the position in the licensed victualling, the hotel and catering trades is under consideration, and certain steps have been taken in regard to the licensed victualling trade.
